About Us

Welcome to the St Stephens Creative Zoomers Circle

This group is hosted at the St Stephen's Uniting Church Macquarie St Sydney Zoom Room (what a mouthful!).

The group can be found in the St Stephen's Zoom Room on Tuesdays each week and the zoom room door will be open from 12 noon to 8 pm. So whether you prefer the middle of the day or you can't join us until you get home from work, or you'll be joining us from some far flung time zone, access should be possible for at least and hour or so.

This is an activity for all creative people who like to put aside a regular time to sit and keep hands busy while chatting with others and sharing thoughts and techniques or even posing questions.

Bring a cuppa or dinner as well as something for "show and tell" and of course, something creative to do with your hands while we chat. If you are the only one there, don't despair, someone is sure to turn up soon so meanwhile just get on with your work with the zoom room open in the background. And if you don't have anything for "show and tell" just come anyway.

You can come and go as you like, for half and hour or for the whole 8 hours. It is a great time to do some handiwork, loom a beanie, chop fruit for the next batch of jam or a pie. You can even use the time to do the ironing (what's that?) if you have nothing creative on the go at the moment. The only time you will need to mute yourself is if you are doing something noisy like using a sewing machine, answering your phone or using the blender.

If you have suggestions or feedback about this activity, or if you would like to join us, please send an email to chorister.ssms@gmail.com or leave a comment on this blog.
